This year's DGR Manila attended by more than 1,500 riders
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride (DGR) Manila. The DGR is a classic-themed event that was founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa in 2012. It aims to raise funds for prostate cancer research as well as raise awareness on men’s mental health.
According to the organizers, this year’s edition of DGR Manila was by far the most attended event in its 10-year history, with more than 1,500 riders showed up in their dapper attire.
Additionally, this year’s DGR Manila event has so far raised PHP 324,526 which will go straight to the Movember – a leading charity changing the face of men’s health on a global scale.

Since partnering with Movember in 2016, DGR has invested over AUD 35 million into cutting-edge research into prostate cancer tests and treatments, initiatives that improve the quality of life for men living with the disease, and innovative men’s mental health projects.
Besides DGR Manila, men and women who donned their best dapper clothes were also seen in other parts of the country. In total, the Philippines’ DGR has raised PHP 501,883.
‘Most Disciplined DGR’
Speaking with one of the ride marshals at the event yesterday, MotoPinas.com learned that this year’s DGR Manila is by far has the most disciplined riders, and were all following traffic rules and the instructions of ride marshals.
As far as the marshals were concerned, there were no individuals who showboated, or rode faster than the convoy. DGR, after all, is a parade and not a race or stunt show.

Triumph Motorcycles has been the global partner of DGR for 11 years now, bringing classic and vintage-style motorcyclists together.
Speaking with MotoPinas.com, Triumph Motorcycles Philippines marketing boss, Ernest Custodio, thanked the participants and said that they have made a huge impact on the fight against prostate cancer and have appealed to continue to support the cause.
“Today, prostate cancer is more survivable because of the research that has gone into studying this disease. And the donations from DGR go directly into funding more in-depth studies for prostate cancer. So while DGR is already done, everyone can still donate to the cause. He also thanked the organizers, marshals, volunteers, RAT PH (Riders Association of Triumph PH), and all the people who made this year’s DGR a huge success.
Also during this fantastic 11-year partnership with DGR, Triumph Motorcycles has created many unique motorcycles to promote the DGR; including a one-of-a-kind Triumph Thruxton RS DGR Edition, and a custom '1959 Legends’ Triumph Bonneville T120 with a matching Gibson Les Paul Standard guitar. Triumph has also built a one-off custom Bonneville T100, the Dapper Bonnie, and in celebration of our 10-year anniversary in 2023, launched the exclusive Bonneville T120 Black DGR Edition, limited to 250 units worldwide, with the Philippines’ lone unit ridden at yesterday’s DGR Manila.
