KTM announces 2025 390 Adventure R
Last year’s EICMA debuted KTM’s new pocket-sized adventure bike that will further blur the lines between it and a true enduro bike. Now, the Austrian brand announced that the new 390 Adventure R is “the most offroad capable small capacity adventure bike to date” and packs a much bigger 399 cc powerplant vs the 373 cc engine of the outgoing 390 Adventure.
Boasting a true rally-inspired design, a completely new chassis, long-travel
suspension, and a 21-inch front/18-inch rear wheel split, this new bike has every right to wear the Adventure R badge proudly, says KTM.

The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R is powered by a new generation of lightweight, and compact single-cylinder engine dubbed as the LC4c. The “c” stands for compact, which debuted in the most recent KTM 390 Duke.
Building on the experience gained with the previous generation of small single-cylinder engines, this powerplant has been completely redesigned, with newly optimized cylinder heads and gearboxes ready for EURO 5.2. requirements.
This new engine platform also brings new service intervals, with the initial oil changes required at 1,000 km, followed by regular services every 10,000 km thereafter.
Additionally, new injectors are now angled directly into the inlet valves to reduce build-up in the inlet channel. These new injectors also provide a finer fuel spray, resulting in more efficient combustion and fewer emissions.
Availability
As mentioned before by our friends from Lucky MAPI – the new KTM distributor in the country – the new 390 Adventure R could arrive here (and hopefully) no later than the end of Q1 2025. Additionally, the price range will be more or less PHP 400,000.
