Bacoor turns over six Yamaha NMAX scooters to local police
Scooters are the go-to choice for many Pinoys because they are easy to use, practical, and fuel-efficient. Their compact size also makes them nimble enough to get through narrow alleys and crowded streets.
The City Government of Bacoor is putting that practicality to work, and has turned over six brand-new scooters to the local PNP to support peace and order operations and emergency response across the city.

The scooters were formally turned over to the police on September 7 at the Bacoor Government Center (BGC) Grounds. They come fitted with blinkers and top boxes for law enforcement use, giving officers additional mobility and space for carrying equipment while on patrol.
The motorcycles are expected to be particularly useful on Bacoor’s crowded and often narrow streets, where getting around in a patrol car can be difficult when traffic builds up.
Unlike a four-wheeled patrol vehicle, a scooter takes up less road space and can work its way through slow-moving traffic. That could allow officers to reach incidents faster, maintain a more visible presence in residential areas, and patrol streets that are difficult for larger vehicles to access.

The Yamaha NMAX is a 155cc scooter and currently starts at an SRP of PHP 155,900, with the higher-spec Tech MAX version starting at PHP 178,400.
Mayor Strike Revilla and Bacoor City Police Chief PLtCol. Alexie Desamito led the turnover ceremonies. The city government said the additional motorcycles will provide the police force with more mobility and equipment for public safety, peacekeeping, and community service operations.
