KMC announces Clark International Speedway expansion project
Kilton Motor Corporation (KMC), the operator of the Clark International Speedway (CIS), formalized its plans for expansion within Clark Freeport by signing two lease agreements with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC).
The expansion, valued at PHP 300 million, will add 11 hectares to Kilton’s existing 30-hectare lease. This additional land is intended to support the development of new motorsports facilities.
The signing ceremony was conducted by CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera and KMC President Johnny Tan. The Supplemental Lease Agreement involves a PHP 200 million investment over three years and covers 4.64 hectares for the construction of parking and support facilities for Tony’s Clark Museum.
The New Lease Agreement grants KMC 6.4 hectares for an off-road facility, a 4x4 terrain area, and perimeter fencing, with an additional PHP 100 million allocated for development. According to the expansion plan, KMC will develop an international-standard racetrack suitable for karting, drag racing, and motorcycle events. The company also aims to expand its operations in light industrial assembly and the trading of race cars, go-karts, generator engines, forklifts, and motocross bikes.
The CDC acts as the estate manager of the Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zones, with a mandate to promote investment and economic growth. KMC is identified as a leading entity in power solutions and industrial equipment.
Atty. Devanadera reiterated the CDC’s dedication to cultivating a business-friendly environment within Clark, stating that the CDC ensures seamless coordination across its departments to support locators such as Kilton.
Tan also emphasized KMC’s focus on innovation and sustainability, noting that this expansion would strengthen their production capabilities and reinforce their commitment to green technology.
