New Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono now in the country

Back in October 2023, Ducati stunned its fans when it announced its first-ever modern-era single-cylinder engine that it developed for a (then) upcoming bike. Almost immediately after the announcement, Ducati unveiled the Hypermotard 698 Mono. Now, it's in the Philippines, the RVE version, with an SRP of PHP 845,000.

According to our friends at Access Plus – the official Philippine distributor of Ducati motorcycles – they are now accepting reservations for the first batch of units which will be arriving within the month. The one they have on hand now is the demo unit owned by Access Plus CEO, Toti Alberto.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono RVE holds the distinction of being the “Most Beautiful Motorcycle” of EICMA 2023. The contest “Vote and win the most beautiful bike at the Show, is organized since 2005 by the Italian magazine Motociclismo in collaboration with EICMA.

According to Ducati, the engine of the Hypermotard 698 Mono was derived from the twin-cylinder engine of the 1299 Panigale, from which it inherits the 116 mm bore piston, combustion chamber, titanium intake and steel exhaust valves, and Desmodromic distribution, the same solution that Ducati uses in MotoGP.

The ‘Mono’ is very light like what a real supermoto should be, tipping the scales at only 151 kilos without fuel. The Philippines will get the RVE version with dedicated graphics, black frame and DQS quickshifter.
