Improved CRF250RX for 2025MY
In January 2022, Honda PH launched the CRF 250RX with a price tag of PHP 469,000. For Model Year (MY) 2025-onwards, Honda has revised the CRF 250RX with better frame and Showa suspension system.
Better frame
According to Honda, the 2025MY CRF 250RX will have improved cornering stability on rough circuit conditions – with no loss of steering agility – thanks largely to a 70% new mainframe, a variety of cycle part updates, completely new Showa suspension and a two-piston Nissin front brake caliper.
The engine builds increased drive, traction and power past peak via revised intake/exhaust and PGM-FI settings. Specification now includes new 3-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) in addition to Launch Control and Engine Mode Select Button (EMSB).
Revised bodywork
Minimal bodywork aids rider movement around the machine. The radiator shrouds have been updated for 2025MY using the consistent CRF design philosophy focused on weight reduction, mass centralization and rider-friendly ergonomics. A flat knee trajectory, front to back of the machine, has been maintained.
Additionally, all the 25MY CRF family members feature new family graphics that denote the model change, and a Honda Wing makes an appearance on the front mudguard. The plastic fuel tank still holds 8 liters of fuel.
Electronic riding aids
Standard on the 2025MY CRF 250RX are electronic riding aids that will help maximize performance during competitions.
The HSTC – as fitted to the CRF450RX – works to minimize rear wheel spin and maximize traction. It doesn’t use a wheel speed sensor, and critically maintains feel at the throttle while managing power; ignition timing is retarded, and the PGM-FI is controlled when the rate of change of rpm is detected to have gone over a set amount.
Also, there are 3-selectable HRC Launch Control modes, 3-mode engine mapping and an HRC Setting tool to tailor aggressive and smooth riding modes.
PH availability and pricing are yet to be announced by Honda.
