Tiger Rally 660 rumored to be in the works
Triumph Motorcycles’ 660 cc range is now available across three categories: for the sport naked, there’s the Trident 660 that was introduced in 2020. For sport touring, there’s the Tiger Sport 660, which was introduced in 2021. And finally, for supersport, there’s the Daytona 660 that was introduced earlier this year.
Now, there’s only one missing category: Adventure.
Tiger Rally 660
When Yamaha introduced the Tenere 700 (T7) in 2019, it was an instant hit for the Japanese brand. Then, Aprilia followed suit with the Tuareg 660 while KTM ditched the 790 Adventure R with the introduction of the 890 Adventure R.
As for the Brits, a middleweight contender for the T7 seems to be in the works and Triumph Mumbai – one of Triumph’s partners in India – kind of confirmed that there was some truth about these speculations by reposting SuperbikesIndia’s post.
“According to reports, after introducing the Trident 660 and the Tiger Sport 660, Triumph is now working on its third offering in the middleweight segment: Tiger Rally 660.
There’s a huge possibility that the British brand will unveil it at the 2024 EICMA Show and launch it next year.”
If Triumph will in fact create a Tiger Rally 660, we assume that it will be much lighter and more agile than its Tiger 900 brother. Put on some top-spec suspension to the Tiger Rally 660 and it will be a legit off-road-biased adventure bike.
