2025 Meguro S1 introduced in Japan

Meguro Motorcycles is one of the oldest motorcycle brands in Japan, which was founded by Nobuji Murata and naval officer, Takaji Suzuki. Its namesake was taken after Meguro District in Tokyo, which traces its roots as far back as 1924 as the Murato Iron Works.

To celebrate 100 years of Meguro Motorcycles, Kawasaki—which absorbed the company in 1964—introduces the 2025 model year (MY) Meguro S1. The SRP is JPY 720,500, or roughly PHP 277,000 (PH taxes and duties not included).

The Meguro S1 is powered by a 232 cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine that produces 18 ps of power and 18 nm of torque. It is then mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a chain as the final drive.

According to Kawasaki, the Meguro S1 inherits 100 years of tradition and trust and has a unique styling, comfortable ride with a pulsating feeling at low RPMs, and a lively ride at high RPMs. It claims to be the legitimate successor to the Kawasaki 250 Meguro SG, which is Meguro’s final road model released in 1964.

Despite its ultra-classic design, the Meguro S1 features some modern takeaways like LED lighting, ABS, modern lightweight chassis, and many more.
