Bristol Motorcycles may bring in the KOVE 800X this year

Back in EICMA 2022, KOVE showcased their (then) new 800cc platform with the introduction of the 800X Super Adventure. In 2023, KOVE once again amazed EICMA fans as they introduced the RALLY version of the 800X. Actually, the Philippines was so close to getting the 800X that year, but unfortunately, the stars didn’t align for local KOVE fans.

This year, the stars might finally align for fans as the KOVE 800X could finally land on PH shores.

Coming to America

The KOVE 800X Rally (longer travel suspension than 800X PRO) is slated for a July launch in US showrooms, positioning itself as a disruptor in the adventure bike market. At a mere 185 kilograms, it’s being promoted as the lightest middleweight twin-cylinder adventure bike. This impressive weight makes it notably lighter than many of its rivals in the same segment. Just to give you an idea, starting with Honda’s entry-level adventure bike, the single-cylinder CRF300 Rally weighs 150 kg. On the other hand, a true-blooded middleweight adventure bike, KTM’s 790 Adventure R (2025), weighs 203 kg with zero liters of fuel on the tank.

The 800X is equipped with a 799cc, DOHC Parallel Twin engine, anticipated to have design similarities with KTM’s LC8c, delivering a claimed output of 95 horsepower. A Bosch EFI system handles its fuel delivery.

According to KOVE, its subframe-mounted fuel tank contributes to a low center of gravity, which translates to increased rider confidence and improved maneuverability across varied terrain. The 18.9-liter fuel capacity supports a minimum range of 400 kilometers, optimizing time spent on the road. For rider protection, an integrated windscreen is included, and a digital TFT display provides at-a-glance access to critical data such as speed, RPM, engine temperature, fuel level, and selectable ride modes (ECO, SPORT, RAIN).

Obviously, with its 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, the 800X is designed with off-road adventure in mind.

Coming to the Philippines

Since the 800X is coming to the US, naturally, the next question would be “is it also coming to the PH?”

Of course, there are no other people to ask but our friends from Bristol Group about the potential arrival of the 800X to our shores. Andrew Sy, VP of Bristol Group, confirmed with MotoPinas.com that the 800X will “arrive this [next] few months” in the country, and Pinoy fans will be getting the 800X PRO. As for the price? Well, we’ll find out soon.
