New twin-cylinder sportbike by KTM
Back in May, KTM announced its plan to reintroduce a true sportbike in its lineup for 2025 with the 990 RC R. At this year’s EICMA in Italy, KTM finally debuts the 990 RC R to the riding public.

The 990 RC R, will roll off at the Mattighofen Production line in early 2025. KTM will use the 128 Ps, 947 cc parallel-twin LC8c engine manufactured by CFMOTO to power the 990 RC R. A 990 RC R Track Edition will also be available, capable of up to 130 ps of power and up to 103 nm of torque, with all the street legal essentials removed to make it lighter for track use.
The 990 RC R also features a steel tube frame with an aluminum swingarm, fully adjustable WP Apex suspension, and Brembo Hypure calipers. The electronic system is comprehensive and can be managed through an 8.8” color TFT touchscreen display, and the ergonomics have been redesigned for a more comfortable and not-too-aggressive street riding position.
