Futuristic Honda motorcycle to play a major role in 'Ghost in the Shell'

The popularity of Honda motorcycles is set to go up a notch as it partners with the upcoming DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures movie ‘Ghost in the Shell’ that is set to hit theaters worldwide next month.

Honda has provided the movie with its ‘highly acclaimed large motorcycle’ the NM4 to play the role of hero bike next to the movie’s heroine Scarlett Johansson.

Based on the internationally acclaimed Japanese manga of the same name, the movie uses design sketches of the NM4, which was then finessed by the film production team, to come up with the futuristic-looking Honda motorcycle that Major (Scarlett Johansson) will use to get around in the film.

Launched in April 2014, the NM4 was developed under the keywords of ‘the Neo-futuristic’ and ‘Cool’ making it the perfect vehicle to use as inspiration in the futuristic world of the movie.

‘Ghost in the Shell’ will debut in the United States and more than 50 countries and territories on March 31.

The NM4-based vehicle used in the film is scheduled to be showcased at the ‘33rd Osaka Motorcycle Show 2017’ from March 18 to 20 and at the ‘44th Tokyo Motorcycle Show’ on March 24 to 26, 2017.
