LTO CALABARZON bags award for most delinquent registration apprehensions

The Land Transportation Office (LTO), led by its chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II, has awarded its Region IV-A (CALABARZON) office for an outstanding job of putting the highest number of apprehensions of unregistered motor vehicles nationwide.

According to LTO, its CALABARZON regional office has apprehended a total of 10,836 unregistered vehicles. This accounts to 54.7% of the 19,815 unregistered vehicles apprehended in the Philippines.

“This milestone sets a new benchmark in LTO’s intensified campaign against illegal road users and underscores the region's commitment to upholding traffic regulations and road safety,” said LTO in a statement.

Asec. Mendoza commended the region for its dedication and urged other regional offices to follow suit in upholding road safety and regulatory compliance. Meanwhile, Regional Director Elmer Decena, reaffirmed LTO Region IV-A’s commitment to maintaining the momentum and continuing its strict enforcement to protect motorists and pedestrians alike.

This recognition underscores LTO’s unwavering stance against illegal and unregistered vehicles, reinforcing its mission to uphold order and safety on Philippine roads.
