Support Our Troops ride raised more than PHP 200K for WIA soldiers
The annual Support Our Troops SOF (Special Operations Forces) ride was held at Fort Magsaysay last Sunday, March 2, 2025. The event was attended by at least 282 big bike riders from various clubs, including active military personnel, their families, and former members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Breakfast Ride Community
In partnership with the Breakfast Ride Community, the Support Our Troops SOF charity ride was a great success, and was able to raise more than PHP 150,000 for the benefit of wounded soldiers from the battlefield. Also, Sen. JV Ejercito donated an additional PHP 50,000 for the cause.
Perhaps the highlight of the event was the boodle fight – a tradition unique to our very own AFP, where military personnel of all ranks gather and eat in one table kamayan (bare hands) style with the food spread and shared on banana leaves. During the Support Our Troops SOF, this meal tradition was shared by all participants together with both active and retired AFP personnel.
The Support Our Troops SOF was a great opportunity for the community to come together and show their appreciation for the sacrifices made by those who serve and protect the freedom of our country.
