NAIAX toll collection back to main plaza
If you are a frequent user of NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), you may have been one of the thousands of motorists (even big bikers) who got stuck in the long lines from the toll plazas at the elevated expressway’s southbound exits.
Beginning today, toll collection will be revert back to the main toll plaza near Terminal 3 and Newport World Resorts.
“Toll collection will revert back to the NAIAx Main toll plaza, to give way to expansion works at exit ramps. Please ensure sufficient Autosweep load to avoid delays,” said SMC Tollways (through Skyway SOMCO) via X.
The toll collection was moved to the southbound exits of NAIAX back in March in the hopes of improving the traffic flow of vehicles coming from Skyway going to Paranaque or Cavite/Las Pinas. After almost 2 months, however, traffic congestion seems to have become worse especially at the CAVITEX and Entertainment City off-ramps, even hampering the flow of vehicles coming from NAIA Terminal 2.
