New Maria Clara Exit now open
Motorists going to Quezon City who exit at Skyway Stage 3’s Quezon Avenue off-ramp could only wish 2 things: 1) if the Q-Ave. exit could be widened to accommodate more exiting vehicles and 2) if there’s an alternative off-ramp to avoid or at least alleviate the traffic congestion caused by the volume of vehicles exiting to Q-Ave.
Well, your second wish have been granted as SMC Infrastructure has opened the newly-constructed Skyway Stage 3 (northbound) Maria Clara Exit – a.k.a. Q-Ave. Exit extension.
The new exit is approximately 1 kilometer after the Q-Ave. Exit and will take motorists to G. Araneta near Maria Clara Street. From this exit, motorists can conveniently turn left to N.S. Amoranto (near LTO La Loma District Office) where you can access the busy Banawe Street or Del Monte Avenue.
The opening of this new exit is seen to significantly improve the traffic flow of vehicles going to Quezon City, especially during rush hour. The best part: the toll fee is the same as that of Q-Ave. Exit.
