KTM CEO Stefan Pierer resigns

KTM has announced today that Stefan Pierer has resigned from the Executive Board of the company. Pierer has been with KTM for over 30 years, serving as CEO since 1992. He will be succeeded by Gottfried Neumeister, who has been Co-CEO of KTM AG since September 2024.

“Stefan Pierer is today resigning from the Executive Board of KTM AG. Stefan Pierer has accompanied Gottfried Neumeister as Co-CEO until the approval of the reorganization plan by the creditors of KTM AG and is now handing over the management of KTM AG completely to him,” said Pierer Mobility via a press release.

For the past 33 years, Stefan Pierer has turned KTM into a global brand and transformed it into Europe’s largest motorcycle manufacturer. Pierer will remain as Co-CEO of his namesake and KTM’s parent company, PIERER Mobility AG.

In a separate statement, Pierer said that he is proud of what he has accomplished at KTM and that he is confident that Neumeister will continue to lead the company to success.
