Tagaytay signs single ticketing system MOA with LTO
Tagaytay City is one of the most popular weekend destinations south of Manila because of its relative proximity to the Metro, culinary options, and fine weather. Now, making a traffic violation in Tagaytay would immediately merit you a violation from the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
Just recently, the LTO signed an agreement with the City Government of Tagaytay that will pave the way for the interconnectivity of the city’s traffic enforcement unit to the agency’s online system.
LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II signed the agreement with Tagaytay City Mayor Abraham Tolentino on Monday, August 19, 2024. Mendoza said that the LTO-LGU Interconnectivity System will lead to the streamlining of operations between the two agencies in terms of Single Ticketing System (STS).
“This MOA assures cooperation between your LTO and the City Government of Tagaytay to ensure seamless connectivity in terms of ensuring the implementation of traffic rules and regulations as part of the road safety advocacy of our Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista,” said Mendoza.
“This program is important to the City Government of Tagaytay especially that this City is one of the favorite vacation destinations of a lot of people from Metro Manila and nearby provinces,” added Mendoza.
For his part, Mayor Tolentino emphasized that the collaboration is vital for promoting road discipline and enhancing public safety throughout the city. “This memorandum of agreement is a significant step towards improved regulatory efficiency,” said Tolentino.
