Many Filipinos are familiar with the name Kawasaki as one of the Japanese “Big 4” motorcycle manufacturers, the other being Suzuki, Honda and Yamaha. But, did you know that Kawasaki’s expertise goes beyond manufacturing motorcycles?
In fact, Kawasaki Heavy Industries – Kawasaki’s parent company – is also in the business of manufacturing engines, heavy equipment, robots, ships, aircraft, and defense equipment for the military.
Kawasaki’s expertise is so diverse that it has also introduced a 3-wheeled bicycle that “makes use of motorcycle design, technology and experience.”
Meet the Noslisu – a 3-wheeled bicycle with an electronic pedal-assist feature perfect for urban commuting.

According to Kawasaki, the 3-wheeled electric vehicle noslisu was developed with the concept of “providing everyone with a comfortable and casual mobility experience.” Kawasaki has developed its own patented two-wheel steering mechanism, utilizing the design technology and experience it has accumulated over many years in the motorcycle business.
It combines the stability of a 3-wheeled vehicle with the natural maneuverability of a 2-wheeled bicycle, allowing for smooth riding. The motor is an in-wheel motor that is easy to maintain and durable. The frame and front wheel link mechanism also create a lightweight, functional and beautiful style. As an electric pedal-assisted bicycle, noslisu provides a wide range of users with stability, convenience and fun for everyday travel, supporting a free lifestyle.
The Kawasaki noslisu is offered in two variants: the base model, with an SRP that starts at JPY 363,000 (about PHP 137,909), has a 180W brushless motor paired to a 25.4-volt lithium-ion battery with a range of up to 53 kilometers.
The noslisu e, on the other hand, is the more rugged version that has a large front basket that can hold up to 20kg of luggage. The noslisu e is equipped with a 500W brushless motor paired to a 48-volt lithium-ion battery with a range of up to 47.4 kilometers. The noslisu e has an SRP that starts at JPY 430,100 or roughly PHP 163,400.
Availability
Currently, both the noslisu and the noslisu e are available for the Japanese Domestic Market only, while future availability and pricing to other regions is yet to be announced by Kawasaki.
