Marc Márquez and Ducati Lenovo secures 6th win at this year's MotoGP at Netherlands
Marc Márquez delivered a strategic win at the Grand Prix of the Netherlands, marking his third consecutive race victory and equaling Giacomo Agostini’s record of 68 premier class wins. His teammate, Francesco Bagnaia, secured third place, ensuring a double podium for the Ducati Lenovo Team.
“I was expecting the win, even though – like yesterday – I wasn’t the fastest rider on track. I managed the gap in the early stages, then controlled the race, and I’m very happy because we scored another 37 points. Obviously, I’m not fully satisfied, as my main rival – my brother – crashed and got injured. But that’s racing. I want to thank Ducati and the team, who worked until late on Friday after I destroyed the bike twice,” said Marc Márquez, after achieving his 6th win of the 2025 MotoGP season.
Márquez, starting from the second row, quickly moved into the lead by lap six. He then successfully defended his position against Bezzecchi before extending his lead in the final stages. Bagnaia had initially led the race for five laps but later fell back. Although he managed to close the gap to the frontrunners, he couldn’t challenge for the top spot.
Following the tenth Grand Prix of the season, Marc Márquez now leads the championship standings with 370 points, holding a 68-point advantage over brother Alex Márquez. Francesco Bagnaia sits third, 126 points behind his teammate. The Ducati Lenovo Team maintains its lead in the teams’ standings with 488 points, and Ducati continues to top the manufacturers’ standings with 356 points.
The Ducati Lenovo Team is set to compete next on July 11 at the Sachsenring, Germany, for the eleventh Grand Prix of the season.
