Bristol launches the Zontes 150X scooter

The Bristol Group, the exclusive importer and distributor of Zontes in the Philippines, has officially unveiled the Zontes 150X, priced at an introductory PHP 149,900, before settling at a regular SRP of PHP 169,900.

According to Bristol, the new Zontes 150X is being positioned as a strong contender in the highly competitive 150cc scooter segment, and adds that it was designed to bring big-bike technology into an accessible package, with the model combining futuristic styling with features aimed at everyday commuting, as well as weekend touring.

All-aluminum frame

The 150X is powered by a 150cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-valve SOHC engine producing around 17.7 PS of power at 8,700 rpm, and 15 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Bristol claims that its high-compression setup delivers responsive acceleration suited for urban traffic, while maintaining smooth power delivery for longer rides. The engine also uses an all-aluminum cylinder design to support consistent performance under Philippine riding conditions.

One of the key highlights of the 150X is its practicality. The under-seat compartment offers enough space to accommodate two full-face helmets, reducing the need for additional storage accessories like a large top box and preserving the motorcycle’s streamlined design.

The 150X also features a lightweight all-aluminum alloy chassis, which is common in flagship literbikes but is a very rare offering in a small-displacement scooter. With a curb weight of just 108 kilograms, the bike provides improved agility and maneuverability. This is complemented by a balanced suspension system and 14-inch alloy wheels fitted with wide-profile tires, contributing to a stable yet responsive ride.

Technology is another focus, with the motorcycle equipped with a full-color TFT display with smartphone connectivity, as well as a keyless ignition system. Safety features include ABS for both the front and rear, while convenience is enhanced through full LED lighting, an electric fuel tank cover, and an electric seat lock.

According to Bristol Motorcycles, the 150X delivers a competitive mix of performance, technology, and value, supported by its nationwide service network and access to genuine parts.
