Motorrad magazine readers vote BMW models as “Motorcycle of the Year 2025”
Demonstrating its versatility, BMW Motorrad triumphed in six diverse categories of MOTORRAD magazine’s “Motorcycle of the Year 2025” readers’ choice awards, with additional podium finishes further solidifying its success.
Markus Flasch, CEO of BMW Motorrad, expressed delight at the nine awards, including six wins, thanking MOTORRAD readers for their support and acknowledging the M models and F 900 GS/Adventure’s success.
R 1300 GS Adventure
For the 5th straight year, the BMW M 1000 RR topped the “Sports Bikes” category, celebrated for its dynamic handling, track capabilities, safety systems, and design. The S 1000 RR’s third-place finish further demonstrates BMW Motorrad’s strength in this field.
BMW Motorrad roared to victory at the 27th annual MOTORRAD Motorcycle of the Year 2025 awards night in Stuttgart, securing an impressive six category wins. The powerhouse M 1000 R claimed the “Power Naked” title, showcasing its unrivaled chassis technology and aerodynamics, while the M 1000 XR, a repeat winner in the “Crossover” category, proved its dominance with its 201 horsepower engine and exceptional handling.
The legendary GS series continued its reign, with the R 1300 GS and its GS Adventure sibling securing the “Adventure Touring” crown, reinforcing its cult status with a new design and powerful engine. The F 900 GS made a stunning debut in the “Enduro/Supermoto” category, winning with its enhanced off-road capabilities and significant weight reduction.
In the “Tourer/Sport Tourer” segment, the R 1250 RS retained its title, demonstrating its excellent all-around qualities. The R 12 and R 12 nineT models, combining classic design with modern technology, took second place in the “Modern Classics” category.
