Vision CE concept e-scooter presented by BMW
In a bold move to redefine urban transportation, BMW Motorrad has unveiled the Vision CE at the IAA Mobility 2025 motor show. This concept vehicle is a fresh, futuristic take on electric two-wheel mobility, designed for the unique challenges of the city. More than just a motorcycle, the Vision CE showcases the BMW Group’s leadership in connected, intelligent, and electric transport.
The Vision CE’s most striking feature is its innovative safety concept, which BMW calls the “cage.” This composite metal tube structure, combined with a seatbelt, is designed to offer a new level of rider protection.
In a radical departure from traditional motorcycling, BMW Motorrad says this system could one day eliminate the need for a helmet and protective clothing, offering a sensation of unparalleled freedom to the rider.
Beyond its safety features, the design of the Vision CE is a major talking point. With a long wheelbase, a reduced height, and an open, airy design, it presents an emotional and creative aesthetic.
The look is completed with a distinctive color palette of matte white and black accented by vibrant neon red. The concept also includes a self-balancing function, a key technological advancement that keeps the vehicle stable even when stationary.
The Vision CE is an evolution of BMW Motorrad’s urban mobility legacy, following in the footsteps of the successful C evolution, CE 04, and CE 02 models. It also draws inspiration from the pioneering BMW C1, a vehicle from 25 years ago that also allowed riders to forgo a helmet.
