7.88 section of CALAX linking Governor’s Drive to SLEX now open
After delays that pushed its target opening from the second half of 2025, the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) Governor’s Drive interchange is now open. The 7.88-kilometer segment links Aguinaldo Highway in Silang to Governor’s Drive, improving connectivity across Cavite and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).

According to Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the new segment cuts travel time between SLEX in Biñan, Laguna, and Governor’s Drive in General Trias, Cavite from about an hour to just 26 minutes.
The company added that the extension can handle up to 6,000 additional vehicles daily, easing traffic on congested local roads in Cavite’s fast-growing industrial and residential areas. With this, the Cavite-Laguna Expressway now stretches 26 kilometers from the Mamplasan entry in Biñan.

Motorists can use the new section toll-free for one month from its opening. Regular toll rates still apply between SLEX and Aguinaldo Highway.
