New Trident 800 launched by Triumph Motorcycles Philippines

We first heard about the new Trident 800 back in October last year when Triumph announced its new 798 triple coming during Q1 of this year. Now, our friends from Triumph Motorcycles Philippines have officially unveiled the Trident 800 to eager Pinoy fans. The SRP: PHP 649,000.

New engine

Powering the Trident 800 is an all-new 798cc triple cylinder engine, delivering a claimed 115 PS and 84Nm of torque with strong mid-range pull and an 11,500 rpm redline.

Triumph also says that it revised the airbox and intake system to enhance airflow and sharpen the sound, producing a deep growl at load and the signature Triumph triple howl at high revs. Internally, it uses forged components and a high-compression design for performance and durability.

Rider-focused tech

Of course, the Trident 800 will give you your money’s worth with its array of rider-focused tech built for control and simplicity. It offers three riding modes: Road, Sport, and Rain, which adjust throttle response and traction control for different conditions.

Lean-sensitive ABS and traction control help manage braking and power through corners, while a 6-speed gearbox with Triumph Shift Assist (a.k.a. quick shifter) enables clutchless shifts. The Trident 800 is also equipped with a cruise control, so you can conveniently use it when riding along TPLEX.

A 3.5-inch TFT display with My Triumph Bluetooth handles navigation, calls, and media, while full LED lighting with a round headlamp and DRL signature ensures visibility day and night.

Triumph also claims that the new Trident 800 weighs just 198kg fully fueled and fitted with grippy Michelin tires, so it stays light, agile, and always ready to deliver a strong dose of fun on every ride.
