Ducati Panigale V4 R with 218 HP superbike with MotoGP tech
Ducati introduced the new Panigale V4 R at the Ducati World Première 2026, calling it the pinnacle of its racing technology. Built to compete in the World Superbike Championship while remaining road-legal, the V4 R integrates MotoGP-derived innovations never before seen on a production motorcycle.
At its heart is the latest evolution of the 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine, delivering 218 hp in Euro 5+ trim, while the optional racing exhaust will extend the output to 235 hp and the top speed beyond 330 km/h, a figure once reserved exclusively for MotoGP. Ducati engineers achieved this while meeting Euro 5+ emissions standards, ensuring sustained torque gains across the rev range and improved acceleration.
The Panigale V4 R debuts Corner Sidepods, aerodynamic elements first introduced in MotoGP in 2021, generating ground effect for improved grip and reduced lap times. Alongside larger wings, they provide 25% more downforce, enhancing stability at high speed. The bike also features the Ducati Racing Gearbox (DRG) with Ducati Neutral Lock, placing neutral below first gear—another first for a street-legal motorcycle.
Developed with Ducati Corse, the V4 R adopts a redesigned Front Frame, a hollow symmetrical swingarm, Öhlins suspension, Brembo Hypure brakes, and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tyres. Advanced electronics, including Ducati Vehicle Observer algorithms and Race Brake Control, bring professional racing strategies to riders.
Produced in a numbered series, the Panigale V4 R continues Ducati’s lineage of homologation specials that began with the legendary 996R. It will be available in Europe by November 2025, with global distribution to follow in 2026.
