SCTEX to implement toll fee hike starting Sept. 9, 2025

The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has authorized the final phase of toll rate adjustments for the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), with collection set to begin on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

This third and final increase is part of a 2020/2022 petition that was implemented in three tranches to minimize the impact on motorists.

Upon implementation, Class 1 vehicles (big bikes/cars/SUVs) will pay an additional PHP 0.64 per kilometer. For a trip from Mabalacat City to Tarlac, Class 1 vehicles will incur an additional PHP 25.00, while Class 2 (buses/small trucks) will pay PHP 51,00, and Class 3 (large trucks) will be charged an extra PHP 75.00.

For the entire SCTEX stretch from Tipo to Tarlac, the increase will be PHP 66.00, PHP 131.00, and PHP 197.00 for Class 1, 2, and 3 vehicles, respectively.

The new rates are intended to support ongoing infrastructure enhancements and maintenance. Over the past few years, significant projects have been completed, including the New Clark City Interchange, which now serves as an alternate route for motorists.

Additionally, the tollway has seen major upgrades to its RFID and toll systems, the installation of more CCTV cameras and speed monitoring systems, and crucial repairs to bridges like the Porac-Gumain Bridge.

These efforts reflect NLEX Corporation’s commitment to improving road safety and travel convenience, driving a more reliable and secure experience for all motorists.
