Suzuki celebrates 40 years of GSX-R with the 2026 GSX-R1000/R

Suzuki has announced the 40th Anniversary Edition GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R, marking four decades of the iconic GSX-R series. The new models are a tribute to the GSX-R1000’s legacy, which has become synonymous with performance and reliability, leading to numerous victories in superbike, superstock, and endurance racing worldwide.

The 2026 models introduce new electronic rider aids and updated engine components for enhanced performance and durability.

These models also feature exclusive styling details that celebrate the GSX-R’s heritage. In honor of the 40th anniversary, the GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R will be available in three body color combinations inspired by famous past GSX-R liveries. These bikes will also sport special 40th Anniversary logos on the fuel tank, side fairings, and key mascot.

Suzuki will extend this celebration by also offering a 40th Anniversary Edition colorway on the 2026 GSX-R750 and GSX-R600, giving more riders the opportunity to own a piece of this historic milestone.
