Suzuki mobilizes flood response, watercraft and vehicle support for the affected
Not too long ago, a large portion of Metro Manila, including nearby provinces, was devastated by massive flooding that was brought about by heavy rains due to typhoons and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
While floodwaters in many areas receded quickly, low-lying communities bore the full brunt of the calamity, with some experiencing chest-deep flooding and others having their houses submerged up to the roofs.
Suzuki sends its watercrafts
Suzuki Philippines has swiftly responded to the severe flooding in Luzon, which was impacted by Typhoons Dante and Emong, focusing on low-lying areas in Laguna that were left submerged. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the company, through its Marine Department, immediately provided specialized assistance to communities near its head office, which had endured heavy rainfall and rising floodwaters.
Working closely with local government units, Suzuki deployed its watercrafts to aid in mobility and relief efforts. An inflatable boat with a 6HP Suzuki outboard motor was sent to Biñan, while a poly boat equipped with a 15HP motor was deployed to Sta. Rosa.
These boats were crucial in reaching areas like Sikatville, where floodwaters were chest-deep and inaccessible to traditional vehicles. In partnership with local responders, Suzuki’s marine equipment was used to deliver essential food and supplies to stranded families, providing a vital connection to aid and reassurance to those cut off by the floods.
30% discount on spare parts
If you drive a Suzuki vehicle, the company’s support also extends to you. Recognizing that many private vehicles suffered severe water damage, Suzuki Philippines launched a Flood Support Program for non-insured Suzuki vehicles.
As part of this initiative, the company is offering a 30% discount on select control modules—including the Engine Control Module (ECM), ABS Control Module, Body Control Module (BCM), and SRS Control Unit—that are often affected by flood damage. This program provides affected customers with a practical and more affordable option for safely restoring their vehicles.
By providing both on-the-ground relief and financial assistance, Suzuki Philippines reinforces its commitment to community welfare, believing that mobility is a means to care, connect, and uplift during times of crisis.
