GWM unveils the Gouo
Back in April, it was reported that Great Wall Motor (GWM) was developing an 8-cylinder motorcycle that would rival Honda’s flagship touring bike, the Goldwing. At this year’s Beijing International Motorcycle Exhibition (BIME), GWM finally took the covers off of its Souo brand.
2.0L, flat 8

While the specs of GWM’s “Goldwing” motorcycle have not been revealed completely, some details are quite obvious based on the available photos from the BIME.
As for the engine, it is quite massive: a 2.0L (2,000 cc) flat 8 engine that is paired to an 8-speed DCT (dual clutch) transmission. As for the choice of an 8-cylinder engine, we could only assume at the moment that it would offer a quiet and very smooth ride for its riders since the Souo brand is expected to be marketed as China’s first luxury motorcycle brand. If Toyota has Lexus, GWM will have the Souo (but on two wheels).

Other features include a sound system (just like the Goldwing), heated seats, an electronically-controlled windshield, blind spot monitoring system, a 12.3-inch TFT touchscreen with over-the-air update support, voice control, massive luggage space and many more.
With a massive bike and a massive engine that comes with it, we can only assume that this new bike from GWM will tip the scales at more or less 500 kilos.

Should the Gouo arrive in the PH, how much do you think would be its price tag?
