Grand Prix International Public Company Limited (GPI) has announced that they have invested THB 300 million (equivalent to PHP 468.3 million) into the 45th Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS), which will be happening between March 27 to April 7, 2024.

This year’s BIMS will cover more than 7 hectares of exhibition space, with 35 automotive and 12 motorcycle brands joining. Additionally, a total of 13 electric vehicle/mobility brands will also join the event.

Jaturont Komolmis, Chief Operating Officer of GPI revealed an update of this year’s show, the 45th BIMS is organized under the theme concept of “The Mobility of Joyful Experiences”, which means “When the road of automotive technology and the road of life converge, the beauty of automobiles and challenging technology will reflect the creativity and innovation that fulfill happiness and joyful experience of every journey.” The 45th BIMS is ready to support eco-friendly technology as well.

As mentioned, there will be a lot of new EV brands joining The 45th BIMS: AION, CHANGAN, NETA, HONRI, POCCO, NEXPOINT, FIREBRIGHT, and VINFAST from Vietnam. Besides the cars, several new electric motorcycle brands have confirmed their participation, with RAPID, FELO, LYVA, ZEEHO, and CF MOTO joining this year’s event.

This will allow visitors of the 45th BIMS to witness and experience various models of both electric cars and electric motorcycles, and is dubbed a phenomenon that every exhibition space under the roof of Challenger Halls is fully booked by car and motorcycle companies. The steering Organizer of The 45TH BIMS, hence, decided to expand the exhibition space in response to the growth to IMPACT Forum Hall-4, which covers up to 76,000 square meters (7.6 hectares) of total exhibition space.

It was seen that during the COVID outbreak, the global economy had been frozen. This caused investment in various businesses to decrease. BIMS is the first automobile show in Thailand that firmly returned to its stand to stimulate the nation’s economy and industry after the end of the pandemic. With the determination to drive Thailand’s automotive industry, tourism industry, related businesses, and the people of Thailand to revive the country’s economy, every investment spent in the making of BIMS will generate and spread income to all sectors.

As usual, this is another year that GPI has invested over THB 300 million to make a true world-class motor show, which pays attention to facilitating the visitors through the provision of a convenient gangway, sales negotiation area, and many more facilities. Moreover, the show has been receiving exquisite support from all the brands in booth detailing, ranging from world-class booth design to eye-catching decoration that captures the audience’s attention to visit their booth.

The booth design of individual brands has been finely reviewed and approved by their respective overseas headquarters, and of course, the budget required is high for the design and construction, which revive the vibe of the show as lively as before.
