5 new e-scooters coming from VinFast
Back in May, VinFast – a Vietnam-based multi-national automotive company officially launched its brand here in the country, together with its electric vehicle (EV) range.
Now, a few months after its successful PH launch, 5 VinFast electric scooter (e-scooter) models received a nod from the Department of Energy (DOE) and have been recognized under the L3 category of EVs. This means that these e-scooters have a motor that is powerful enough to reach more than 50 km/h speed.
EVO 200
One of the first e-scooters from VinFast to get recognition from the DOE is the EVO 200. One of the highlights of the EVO 200 is its use of LFP (Lithium iron phosphate) battery which promises up to 203 kilometers in just one full charge. This range is unheard of, especially in this segment of e-scooters that are currently offered by VinFast’s competitors in the Philippines.
Other features include all-LED lighting, modern classic styling, and an optional fast charger that can reduce charging time from 10 hours to just 4 hours.
FELIZ S
The FELIZ S boasts a more powerful hub motor than the EVO 200, capable of propelling the e-scooter up to 78 km/h top speed. The FELIZ S also utilizes LFP battery technology and has a listed range of up to 198 kilometers in just one full charge.
Other features of the FELIZ S include a disc brake, 25-liter under-seat storage, all-LED lighting, and many more.
KLARA S
The KLARA S is almost the same as the FELIZ S but with more classic scooter-inspired bodywork. It has the same powerful hub motor as the FELIZ S, capable of propelling the e-scooter up to 78 km/h top speed. The KLARA S also utilizes LFP battery technology and has a listed range of up to 194 kilometers in just one full charge.
Other features include a front disc brake and a 23-liter under-seat storage.
Charging time from 0% to 100% is 6 hours.
THEON S
The THEON S offers a more powerful motor than the FELIZ S, capable of propelling the e-scooter up to 99 km/h top speed. Like the EVO and FELIZ, the THEON also utilizes LFP battery technology and has a listed range of up to 150 kilometers in just one full charge.
Other features include a 24-liter under-seat storage, front and rear disc brakes with ABS, smartphone connectivity that also uses your phone as a key, smart lock, and many more.
Charging time from 0% to 100% is 6 hours.
VENTO S
Like the THEON S, the VENTO S is also a range-topping e-scooter model from VinFast. It boasts a powerful motor capable of propelling the VENTO S up to 89 km/h. Its LFP battery has a range of up to 160 kilometers in just one full charge with 70% battery reliability even after 2,000 cycles.
Other features include front and rear disc brakes with ABS, full-LED lighting, smartphone connectivity that also uses your phone as a key, smart lock, and many more.
With this development, we may very well see VinFast e-scooters on Philippine roads.
