Motostrada set to launch the CFMOTO 150SC
So we all know that Motostrada – the official distributor of CFMOTO products here in the country – will be launching not one, but two new models this coming October. Motostrada will be bringing in the 675SR-R, as well as the 500SR VOOM.
Actually, there’s a third CFMOTO model that will also be unwrapped next month, and it will be geared toward the premium scooter segment: the 150SC.
NMAX-contender
The upcoming CFMOTO 150SC clearly has its eyes set on Yamaha’s NMAX. For starters, the 150SC boasts a 149cc liquid-cooled engine that churns out 14 PS of power and 14.2 Nm of torque. While side-by-side, the NMAX clearly has an advantage with its 155cc engine displacement, however, it only produces 1.4 PS (15.4 PS) more in power and is 0.3 Nm (13.9 Nm) less in torque output.
As with the dimensions, the upcoming 150SC is barely smaller at 1,915 x 750 x 1,120 vs the NMAX’s 1,935 x 740 x 1,160 (L x W x H).
Like the NMAX, the 150SC also features a keyless system, start and stop system, dual-channel ABS, traction control, USB socket, and a spacious underseat compartment. What the 150SC has is a color TFT screen, while the NMAX has old-type LCD display.
The 150SC also has a slight advantage with its 8.5-liter fuel tank vs the NMAX’s 7.1-liter.
Pricing
While the 150SC will be officially launched next month, pricing and its variants (if any) will also be announced by Motostrada shortly after its introduction.
