Kawasaki dominates the tricycle market with a reported 61.5% share
Kawasaki Philippines further strengthened its leadership in the Philippine tricycle segment in 2025, capturing a commanding 61.5% market share on the back of 14.8% year-on-year growth. This performance significantly outpaced overall tricycle market expansion, reinforcing Kawasaki’s position as the preferred motorcycle brand for livelihood and utility use nationwide.
Beyond its dominance in the tricycle segment, Kawasaki Philippines also reported a robust overall performance in 2025, posting 15.7% year-on-year growth in total motorcycle sales, surpassing the industry’s overall growth rate. This marked the strongest growth among major Japanese motorcycle brands in the local market, reflecting sustained demand across both its Regular Bikes and Leisure Bikes portfolios.
Kawasaki’s continued leadership in the tricycle segment is anchored by the Barako 175 and CT line-up, long regarded for their fuel efficiency, durability, and suitability for daily commercial operations. These models remain vital to income-generating activities, particularly in provincial and semi-urban communities across the country.
Complementing its strength in the Regular Bike segment, Kawasaki Philippines also maintained momentum in its Leisure Bike portfolio, driven by increasing consumer interest in premium and higher-displacement models. The company is set to further expand its Kawasaki Leisure Bikes line-up with new model introductions scheduled for February 2026, featuring highly anticipated motorcycles previously unveiled at major international motor shows, including the Japan Mobility Show and EICMA in 2025.
As it looks ahead, Kawasaki Philippines remains focused on building upon its leadership in core segments while continuing to broaden its presence across a wider range of motorcycle categories, supporting riders, operators, and dealer partners nationwide.
