Kawasaki offers genuine vintage emblems for motorcycle restorations

Restoring an old motorcycle goes beyond fresh paint and polished chrome. Finding original and period-correct parts can be one of the more difficult parts of the process, with some restorers having to rely on donor motorcycles to complete a build.

Kawasaki is making that job a little easier for owners restoring older models, with a limited batch of genuine original emblems from its past motorcycles now available through its online shop.

Kawasaki Motors has announced that it has begun selling genuine emblems originally fitted to motorcycles produced from the 1970s through around 1990. The items went back on sale on October 7, 2026, and will remain available only while supplies last.

These are not reproduction parts. Kawasaki said the emblems were originally produced for the motorcycles of that period and remained in storage after production ended.

The company previously suspended orders shortly after the initial launch after its online shop received more traffic than expected.

The original emblems are being offered for several purposes, including motorcycle collections, restoration projects, and replacement of damaged or missing parts on older Kawasaki models.

Kawasaki added that the availability of original parts can be particularly useful when bringing an older motorcycle back to its period-correct specification. Instead of relying on reproductions or sourcing parts from donor units, owners can now purchase some of the original emblems that were produced for these motorcycles decades ago.
