LTO Tracker now online to serve you
Personally, I find renewing my driver’s license or motorcycle registration at the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to be one of my least favorite tasks. The long queues, uncomfortable waiting areas, and lack of parking—the inconveniences are numerous, making transactions with the LTO (or any government agency) generally frustrating. Adding to the frustration is the prevalence of fixers in many LTO offices, whose unsolicited offers of “faster” and “hassle-free” services for a price are particularly irritating.
And, further adding to the hassle, the LTO frequently necessitates a second trip for motorists to claim their driver’s license card, often because of printing limitations or waiting for new card supplies.
At least, for the claiming part, the LTO has launched a new web-based program to lessen these hassles faced by motorists, particularly when claiming their driver’s license or new plate number for their vehicle or motorcycle. This is the LTO Tracker.
Think of it this way: this new website lets you get your driver’s license or new plate number delivered just as easily as your PSA documents or passport, straight to your home or office address.
“The era of waiting in line for hours is coming to an end. With LTO Tracker, government service is finally catching up with the digital age, delivering speed, convenience, and transparency like never before,” said Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon.
They’ve also added that the LTO Tracker is in accordance with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s instructions to enhance the Filipino public’s experience with government services. This initiative, which is spearheaded by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and LTO, utilizes accredited delivery service providers to bring LTO services directly to citizens.

To avail of LTO Tracker’s services, just follow these steps:
- Log on to www.ltotracker.com/delivery and check if your Plate or License is available
- Select Driver’s License or License Plate
- For DL: Enter your license number and birth date
- For Plates: Enter MV File Number or Plate Number on your CR
- If it is available, you can pick it up from the location on the map
- If you want to have it delivered, just enter the shipping information needed and proof of identity, and transaction
- Pay via your chosen e-wallet (e.g., GCash)
- Just wait and track the progress of the delivery
Of course, a delivery fee applies, with the amount varying by location. But the significant time savings from not having to travel to and wait for hours at an LTO center will prove beneficial for most motorists.
