Scrambler 400 XC now available in India
Following the 2023 debut of Triumph Philippines’ entry-level 400cc models, the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X, the brand has now expanded this lineup with the addition of the new Scrambler 400 XC, which debuted in India. SRP: ₹ 2.94 Lakh or roughly PHP 207,000 (PH taxes and duties not included).
What’s new
Just like the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X, the new Scrambler 400 XC is powered by Triumph’s 398cc TR series single-cylinder engine producing 40 ps of power and 37.5 nm of torque. The frame and suspension seem to be retained from the Scrambler 400 X.
The most apparent updates include the adoption of 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire wheels, fitted with versatile dual-sport tubeless tires. In classic scrambler style, the ‘XC’ proudly displays a high front mudguard, a brushed skid plate, and protective engine bars on either side.
Visually, a small flyscreen adds a refined touch to the headlight and instrument panel area. The Scrambler 400 XC has a weight of 185 kg, a slight increase of 6 kg compared to the Scrambler 400 X, and comes in bright and vibrant yellow; then black and white. This new Scrambler 400 XC seems like a particularly strong contender in Triumph’s lineup, especially for riders planning to tackle demanding events like the FJMOTO Mountaincross Adventure in 2026.
