Joshua Tamayo wins at the 85cc category of World Motocross Championship in USA
Team MxMessiah’s Joshua Tamayo wins one of the Amateur 85cc Classes in the recently concluded 2025 Wiseco 2-Stroke World Motocross Championship held at the iconic Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California.
A native of Taytay, Rizal, on board his 2023 85cc 2-stroke GASGAS MX bike, Tamayo pulled a good start during the first moto of the 85cc B Class, made some passes to the front, and led every lap for the win.

In the second heat and final moto, the young Tamayo pulled a P3 start and worked his way to the lead to get a perfect 1-1 for first place overall finish.
“I want to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for keeping me safe. I can’t believe I did it,” says the 13-year-old Tamayo. “To be honest, I felt I can win after I was able get P3 and know the pace of my competition when I raced last weekend during the 3rd Round of the Saturday at the Glen Spring Series. I still can’t believe I won the race.”
Joshua Tamayo is also the 2024 Orca NAMSSA National Motocross Championship 85cc Class Champion and FIM Asia Round 4 85cc winner.
