KTM opens slots for the 2026 990 RC R Cup

The term “nepo baby” has resurfaced in headlines amid the unfolding Flood Control Scam that has shaken the nation. These so-called nepo babies—children of personalities accused of involvement in the scheme—have drawn public outrage for flaunting lavish lifestyles on social media, seemingly without remorse, at a time when the nation’s coffers are allegedly being drained.

Anyway, if you happen to be one of these nepo babies, or simply someone with money to burn who loves motorcycles, KTM has officially opened slot reservations for the 2026 KTM 990 RC R Cup. KTM announced that only 35 slots will be available, giving passionate Pinoy riders (with tons of money) the chance to compete in a professionally organized, cost-controlled championship. The series is designed with tightly managed rules to ensure fairness, maximize fun, and prevent “checkbook racing.”

The six-round European calendar includes some of the continent’s most iconic circuits:

Round 1: April 23–26 – Almería (Spain)

Round 2: May 22–24 – Brno (Czech Republic)

Round 3: June 26–28 – Hockenheim (Germany)

Round 4: August 7–9 – Misano (Italy)

Round 5: August 21–23 – Red Bull Ring (Austria)

Round 6: September 4–6 – Most (Czech Republic)

Entry requirements

To join the KTM 990 RC R Cup, you must own either the street-legal 990 RC R or the track-only 990 RC R TRACK, and both must come from an authorized KTM dealer. Full-season entrants get priority access to the RC R TRACK, plus a KTM PowerParts and WP PRO Components race-upgrade kit, exclusive technical support, and more. The full-season entry fee starts at PHP 8,890 (about PHP 605,000), with an optional EUR 4,890 (PHP 333,000) technical-support package. A brand-new 990 RC R itself currently retails for around EUR 15,490 (PHP 1.055M), before shipping, taxes, and local import costs.

And naturally, with the entire series based in Europe, the combined cost of flights, lodging, meals, and other travel needs can effortlessly exceed PHP 5 million.

So if you’re a nepo baby looking for a new way to burn money faster than your parents’ dirty money, this one’s definitely for you.
