Kawasaki updates the classic W800 for 2026

Kawasaki is set to celebrate nearly six decades of heritage with its refined W800 for 2026, a model that continues the legacy first established by the 650-W1 in 1966. Scheduled for release on November 1, 2025, the latest W800 stays true to the timeless formula that made the “W” series an icon with its classic styling, mechanical purity, and the unmistakable character of a vertical twin.

At the heart of the W800 is its meticulously engineered 773cc air-cooled, bevel gear-driven vertical twin engine, known for its smooth, evenly spaced combustion pulses thanks to a 360-degree crankshaft. This setup not only delivers a distinctively rich exhaust note but also preserves the authentic riding feel that has defined the W lineage for generations.

The 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, paired with slender tires, evoke the charm of vintage motorcycles while ensuring confident handling for today’s riders. Every detail, from the chrome-plated fenders to the classic round headlamp and teardrop fuel tank, reflects Kawasaki’s dedication to craftsmanship and nostalgia.

For 2026, the W800 will be available in two elegant new color options: Pearl Crystal White and Metallic Deep Blue. Beyond its traditional aesthetics, Kawasaki emphasizes that the W800 offers not just the joy of riding, but the enduring satisfaction of ownership—a motorcycle that bridges eras while remaining thoroughly modern in execution, thanks to the addition of assist and slipper clutch, heated grips, and ABS.

Philippine availability and pricing will be announced soon by Kawasaki.
