Repsol introduces four motorcycle oil lines for different riding needs

Repsol Lubricants Philippines has introduced four motorcycle oil ranges designed for different riding conditions, from daily commutes and city traffic to long-distance touring and high-performance riding.

Under its “New Ranges, Proven Performance” campaign, Repsol is rolling out the Urban, Rider, Extreme, and Explorer ranges. The Urban and Rider lines are already available, while the Extreme and Explorer ranges are coming very soon.

The four ranges are part of Repsol’s new Moto 4T lubricant lineup, with each designed around the demands of a specific type of motorcycle use.

The Urban range is aimed at riders who regularly deal with stop-and-go traffic, frequent engine starts, and short trips. Repsol says its formulation is designed to handle the thermal cycles and operating conditions associated with city riding. It is intended for motorcycles with manual and automatic transmissions.

The Rider range also caters to everyday use, including commuting to work or school, running errands, and leisure rides. It is designed for riders who want consistent engine protection without having to choose a lubricant intended for more demanding applications. Like the Urban line, it covers motorcycles with manual and automatic transmissions.

For riders who spend more time on the road or venture off the beaten path, the Explorer range is designed for touring and adventure riding. It targets motorcycles used on long-distance routes and mixed terrain, where changing temperatures, dust, humidity, and extended engine operation can put additional demands on the lubricant.

The Extreme range sits at the performance end of the lineup. It is intended for high-performance four-stroke motorcycles and riders who regularly push their machines, with an emphasis on thermal stability, clutch control, and engine protection under heavy loads.

Repsol says the Extreme range uses a fully synthetic polyalphaolefin (PAO) base oil formulation developed for demanding riding conditions. The company also links the range to its involvement in motorcycle racing, citing five decades of competition experience and validation from its official Moto2 and Moto3 teams in the MotoGP World Championship.

According to Repsol, Extreme uses the same lubricant as the company’s Moto2 and Moto3 race bikes, with the product also available to consumers.

The Philippine rollout of the four ranges gives riders options based on how they use their motorcycles, rather than relying on a single product for every application. For now, buyers can look for the Urban and Rider ranges locally, with a starting suggested retail price of only PHP 292.00 per bottle, with availability details for Extreme and Explorer expected closer to their Philippine launch.

Founded in Spain in 1986, Repsol has grown into a global energy company with operations spanning oil, gas, fuels, and lubricants. It also has a long history in motorsports, using racing experience to develop its lubricant products.
