Sprint 440 is coming to the Philippines and Malaysia
Harley-Davidson is preparing to bring its budget-friendly motorcycle to more Asian markets, with the all-new 2027 Sprint 440 now appearing on the brand’s Asia-Pacific website. The model is planned for the Philippines and Malaysia, although its local launch date and pricing have yet to be announced.
This exciting development follows a conversation MotoPinas.com had with a Harley-Davidson Asia-Pacific executive during the launch of the brand’s Cruiser 117 lineup in September 2025. At the time, the executive confirmed that plans were underway to introduce smaller-displacement motorcycles in markets such as the Philippines, hinting at the X440 sold in India.
There are plans in progress to bring small-displacement vehicles, but I think we should be waiting for more announcements. But, definitely, there’s already a plan in place.

Harley-Davidson’s regional website has started teasing the Sprint 440, describing it as a lightweight and agile motorcycle designed for city riding, weekend trips, and everyday use. The Sprint badge traces its roots to the original 250cc Harley-Davidson Sprint motorcycles produced between 1961 and 1968.
The Sprint 440 is expected to share much of its underpinnings with the X440, which was developed through Harley-Davidson’s partnership with Indian manufacturer Hero MotoCorp. While the full specifications of the Sprint 440 have yet to be confirmed, the existing X440 provides an indication of what to expect.
The X440 uses an air-and-oil-cooled, 440cc single-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed transmission. It produces a claimed 27 PS at 6,000 rpm and 38 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Its suspension setup consists of an inverted front fork and twin rear shock absorbers with preload adjustment.
Other features such as a TFT panel with smartphone connectivity, ABS, and traction control will also need to be confirmed for the new model.
Harley-Davidson Philippines has yet to announce the model’s local availability, pricing, or official launch date.
