Royal Enfield Classic 650 launching in India
It was 2017 when Royal Enfield introduced its 650cc twin-cylinder engine, which then powered the Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650. Fast-forward to 2025, this 650cc engine now also powers the Super Meteor 650 and the Shotgun 650.
It’s just a matter of time before Royal Enfield introduces another model that will carry its versatile 650 powerplant.
Classic 650
The Classic 500, introduced in 2012, sought to revive the spirit of the classic Royal Enfield Bullet by incorporating updated technology and features into the iconic design. Now, Royal Enfield has updated the Classic, and it is now equipped with the smoother, more powerful parallel-twin 650cc engine that powers the Shotgun, Super Meteor, Interceptor, and the Continental GT. This powerplant, which is mated to a 6-speed transmission, churns out about 48 Ps of power at 7,250 rpm and 52 Nm of torque at 5,250 rpm, 80% of which is delivered as early as 2,500 rpm.
As for styling, just imagine the newly launched (in the Philippines) Classic 350 but with a bigger engine. Other features include an LED headlight, classic-styled fenders, a ‘teardrop’ fuel tank, dual-channel ABS, smartphone connectivity, and many more.

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 is launching in India today, with full specifications and pricing. While India sees its debut, Motociclista Scatola Inc. (MSI), the new Philippine distributor, has informed MotoPinas.com that local availability and pricing will be announced soon.
