Suzuki presents the 2026 DR650S
The 2026 Suzuki DR650S proudly carries forward its enduring legacy as one of the most versatile and capable dual-sport motorcycles available. Since 1990, the DR650 has been celebrated for its ability to seamlessly transition from daily commuting on paved roads to conquering remote, challenging trails. Its proven design prioritizes rugged reliability and straightforward capability, making it a dependable partner for adventure, travel, and everyday riding.
At its core, the DR650S features a robust and ever-reliable 644cc, air and oil-cooled, four-stroke single-cylinder engine nestled within a durable steel semi-double cradle frame.
This powertrain, known for its emphasis on low-to-mid-rpm range power, is complemented by the Suzuki Advanced Cooling System (SACS), which utilizes piston-jet cooling and an oil cooler to maintain consistent performance across diverse conditions. A gear-driven balancer shaft further ensures smooth operation by minimizing engine vibration. Power is managed by a multi-plate clutch with a light lever pull and a smooth-shifting five-speed transmission, feeding into a sealed O-ring drive chain.

Enduring Design
As a true DualSport, says Suzuki, the DR650S is engineered for adaptability, whether cruising around town, tackling highways, or navigating favorite trails. Its long-travel suspension system enhances confident handling across a wide range of terrain. Notably, the suspension allows for an optional seat height reduction, a service Suzuki dealers can perform with an accessory side stand kit, catering to a broader range of riders.
The motorcycle’s aesthetic is clean and functional, now available in Solid Black and Solid Gray, or bright Solid Special White bodywork adorned with distinctive blue and black graphics.
Comfort is key, with a long, supportive seat, aluminum footpegs, and convenient grab handles enabling easy passenger transport.
The lightweight, semi-double cradle steel frame provides agile handling both on and off-road. Its innovative, height-adjustable fork and a link-type rear suspension, featuring a piggyback-style, aluminum-body shock absorber, deliver a controlled and comfortable ride. Starting is effortless thanks to a lightweight, low-maintenance battery and a convenient electric starter with an automatic decompression system.
A full street-legal lighting system, including a bright halogen headlight, ensures road readiness.
The 2026 DR650S continues to build on its reputation as a simple, capable machine built to go the distance, embodying decades of Suzuki's commitment to the dual-sport segment. As they say, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
