Suzuki and Angkas partnered to help improve riders' livelihood
Suzuki Philippines Incorporated, one of the country’s top motorcycle manufacturers, and Angkas, a pioneering ride-hailing platform, announced their strategic partnership recently which is aimed at improving the lives of Filipino riders. The partnership was launched at the Angkas Tagumpay Center along Ortigas Ave., Cainta, Rizal, wherein 15 pre-selected Angkas riders were introduced to Suzuki's reliable and fuel-efficient motorcycles.

Angkas, a Filipino tech startup, has revolutionized the transportation industry by connecting passengers with motorcycle riders through its mobile app. The platform has provided countless Filipinos with flexible income opportunities, making it a vital part of the country's transportation landscape.
Suzuki Philippines, recognizing the crucial role of motorcycle riders in the country's economy, partners with Angkas to provide them with reliable and high-quality motorcycles. This partnership aims to empower Angkas riders by giving them access to Suzuki's practical models - the Burgman Street EX, Avenis, and Smash models popularly known for their durability, fuel-efficiency, and comfortable riding experience if which both the riders and their clients will enjoy.

A Month-Long Experience
To kick off the partnership, 15 Angkas riders were given the opportunity to experience Suzuki motorcycles firsthand. For a month, these riders will be using the borrowed Burgman Street EX and Smash units for their daily work as Angkas Partner-rider.
"Sobrang nasisiyahan ako sa ginawa ng Suzuki para saming mga rider na hindi pa kayang bumili ng bagong unit ng motor sa panghanap-buhay sa araw-araw..." said Manny Tayoto, an Angkas rider since 2017.
(I'm so happy for this initiative by Suzuki for us riders that are, at the moment, unable to buy a brand-new motorcycle unit for our daily livelihood.)
Bernie Candelario, an Angkas rider since 2018, also expressed his gratitude, saying, "Nagpapasalamat ako sa Suzuki at pinasubukan sa amin itong kanilang unit ng mga motor. Ang inaasahan ko dito sa Smash ay sobrang nakapaktipid nga nito at napakatibay, kahit nilulusong ito sa baha ay laban na laban..."
(I thank Suzuki for this opportunity to test their motorcycle units. I can expect that the Smash will be very fuel-efficient and reliable, and will be very tough even when ridden in flood waters.)
The next batch of motorcycles will see around 20 units of Suzuki Avenis – another scooter model of the brand known for its practicality, convenience, fuel efficiency, and comfort.
