Aramco opens flagship fuel station in Parañaque, keeps S&R fuel discounts
Motorcycle riders, especially those working in the motorcycle taxi and delivery sectors, now have another fuel station to add to their list. Aramco has officially opened its flagship station along Dr. A. Santos Avenue in Parañaque City, marking a major step in the Saudi energy giant’s expansion into the Philippine fuel retail market.
The new station offers gasoline and diesel fuels, Valvoline lubricants, and modern customer facilities, giving riders and motorists another convenient stop along one of Metro Manila’s busiest roads.
The opening comes less than a year after Aramco acquired a 25% stake in Unioil Petroleum Philippines and Unioil Energy, giving the Saudi company a strategic foothold in one of the country’s largest independent fuel retailers. Aramco also revealed that three to four more Aramco-branded stations are already under construction, with additional sites planned in the coming years.
If the Aramco name sounds familiar, there’s a good reason why. The company has been in the energy business for more than 90 years. Founded as the California-Arabian Standard Oil Company in 1933, it became Saudi Aramco in 1988 following a series of nationalization efforts by the Saudi government.
Today, Aramco is the world’s largest integrated energy and chemicals company and one of the world’s biggest crude oil producers and exporters. It supplies energy to customers across Asia, Europe, and North America. Long-time motorists may also remember that Saudi Aramco once owned a 40% stake in Petron Corporation from 1994 until it sold its shares in 2008.
Aramco also confirmed that participating Aramco-branded fuel stations will continue honoring the fuel discounts previously offered by Unioil to S&R members. Just present your S&R membership card when refueling to enjoy discounted pump prices.
