Bristol Group welcomes Zontes in its growing portfolio
Last month, our friends from the Bristol Group invited us for an intimate sneak preview held in Clark, Pampanga, for its newest brand: Zontes.
For those who are not familiar, Zontes is one of the leading motorcycle brands in China, often equipping their models with features that are typically found on higher-end motorcycles.
Maxi scooters
At this year’s Makina Moto Expo, Zontes proudly unveils to the public its maxi scooter lineup, headlined by the adventure-ready 400G. SRP is PHP 368,800. According to Bristol, the 400G is powered by a single-cylinder, SOHC, 400cc, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of producing up to 38 hp and 40 nm of torque.
It also boasts a massive (for its segment) 17.5-liter fuel tank, ABS, traction control, TFT screen, built-in front and rear cameras, full-LED lighting, remote key, aux lights, riding modes, crash bars, TPMS, and many more.
For riders who prefer paved roads, Zontes offers the 400M, 400D, and 400E scooters, all expressway-legal. These models are available at introductory prices of PHP 298,800, PHP 318,800, and PHP 338,800, respectively. While sharing the 400G’s engine and chassis, they boast distinct body designs.
Bristol says that the 400M and 400D are sporty scooters designed for city and weekend riding. The 400E, which features an electronically-adjustable windscreen, is designed for long, multi-day rides. All three scooters share a technological platform, including ABS, traction control, full-LED lighting, a TFT screen, riding modes, large storage, and TPMS.
699cc triple
Bristol Group also launched Zontes’ 703F adventure bike, which was first seen at last year’s EICMA. This model features a 699cc, three-cylinder engine producing around 97 hp and 76 nm of torque. It comes standard with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless wheels, front and rear cameras, riding modes, full-LED lighting, a TFT screen, crash guards, auxiliary lights, a 22-liter fuel tank, an auxiliary tank, and provisions for panniers and a top box. The introductory price is PHP 488,800.
