VinFast officially launches new e-bike models and 4,500 battery swapping stations across Vietnam
VinFast has announced the launch of four new electric scooter models—commonly referred to in the Philippines as “e-bikes”—along with the completion of its first 4,500 battery swap stations, marking a significant expansion of its electric two-wheeler ecosystem in its home market of Vietnam.
Three of the new models—Evo, Feliz II, and Viper—support battery swapping, while the newly introduced Amio is a pedal-assisted, license-exempt model designed for students and urban commuters. To support the expanded lineup, V-Green aims to deploy a total of 45,000 battery swap cabinets across 34 provinces and cities by the first quarter of 2026, a network expected to be around 1.5 times larger than the country’s current number of fuel stations.
The Viper features an all-new design and comes equipped with smart key technology, remote vehicle tracking and shutdown, LED projector headlights, and dual rear shock absorbers. It is powered by a 3,000 W BLDC in-hub motor with a top speed of up to 70 km/h. Feliz II shares the same motor output, while the Evo delivers up to 2,450 W. Both also reach speeds of up to 70 km/h, with an Evo Lite variant capped below 50 km/h and requiring no driver’s license.
All three battery swap models use dual under-seat battery slots with 1.5 kWh LFP batteries. With two fully charged batteries, the Evo can travel up to 165 km, while the Viper and Feliz II offer ranges of up to 156 km.
VinFast is accepting early deposits for the Evo line until January 29, with prices starting at 17 million VND excluding batteries. Deliveries are expected to begin in February. Under its “Boundless Drive for a Green Future” program, VinFast is offering zero-down payment options, discounted pricing, free charging, and complimentary battery swapping for eligible customers.
