CFMOTO MT Challenge 2025 concludes in Melbourne, Australia
The first-ever CFMOTO MT Challenge brought together 72 riders from around the world for two action-packed days in Melbourne, Australia. The event celebrated skill, camaraderie, and the versatile performance of the CFMOTO 800MT-X, putting participants through a series of team-based riding challenges that tested both man and machine.
“It’s more than a test of strength and skill—it’s a celebration of fun and our global passion for riding,” said Neil Yang, Global Sales Director of CFMOTO Motorcycles, at the opening ceremony.
Eighteen international teams competed in a 48-hour series of trials, from mud riding and water obstacles to slalom courses and high- and low-speed control tests. Melbourne, home to Australia’s F1 and MotoGP Grands Prix, served as the ideal setting for the final, following national qualifiers across Asia, South America, Europe, and Australia.
The first day featured the Venue Challenge, a playful yet demanding obstacle course including the ‘Figures 8 Plus Challenge,’ ‘Tennis Ball Challenge,’ ‘Steeplechase Challenge,’ and ‘Kangaroo Chase.’ Riders had to demonstrate balance, throttle control, coordination, and teamwork while earning points and avoiding penalties.
Day two focused on the Adventure Challenge, which tested endurance over 180 kilometers of jungle trails, forest tracks, and a fallen tree obstacle, culminating in the ‘Victory Trail Challenge’ that demanded poise, precision, and stamina.
Highlighting the event was Jazmin Judith Bautista Vega, the sole female rider, who inspired Team Mexico and other participants, earning the ‘Best MT Spirit’ award.
Team New Zealand dominated the CFMOTO MT Challenge, taking home first place, followed closely by Team Romania and Team West Balkan. Individual accolades were awarded to Chris Power (New Zealand), Julian Raduta (Romania), and Tim Coleman (Australia), with several riders recognized for exceptional technique, resilience, and bike control. The Philippine team—John Mascariñas, Arvie Soriano, Arjay Salamatin, and Tristan Cheng—delivered a strong performance, finishing 12th out of 18 competing nations.
The CFMOTO 800MT-X, with 95 hp, 87 Nm of torque, cornering ABS, and adjustable traction control, proved the perfect partner for the challenge, offering riders both endurance and agility over demanding terrain.
With its blend of competition, camaraderie, and world-class adventure riding, the MT Challenge left a lasting impression and sets the stage for even bigger events in 2026.
