CST Ride Scoop and Maxxis Victra S98 CT now available
For many Filipinos, motorcycles are the vehicle of choice for their daily transportation needs. Among these, scooters are overwhelmingly the most popular, capturing a commanding 64% of the market share in 2024 and cementing their status as the best-selling two-wheeled companion.
That said, it’s a huge market that companies cannot ignore.
New scooter tires from Maxxis and CST
Recognizing the practical Pinoy rider’s needs, AP Blue Whale Corporation—the exclusive distributor of CST and Maxxis tires in the country—has launched two new tires for scooters: the CST Ride Scoop and Maxxis Victra S98 CT.
According to AP Blue Whale Corporation, its new scooter tires offer superior performance for daily use. A sample tire, tested by a motorcycle taxi rider, yielded a projected lifespan of up to 18,100 kilometers. This significantly surpasses the typical lifespan of most scooter tires, which generally last between 7,000 to 8,000 kilometers.
The CST Ride Scoop, says AP Blue Whale Corporation, is a high-performance tire with a V-shaped tread for superior grip and drainage. It features a semi-hot melt compound for maximum dry performance and a special 4-layer composite that makes it both lighter and more durable. The innovative design offers an ideal balance of strength, fuel efficiency, and track-ready performance.
The Maxxis Victra S98 CT, on the other hand, is the ultimate urban scooter tire, says AP Blue Whale Corporation. Engineered for city riding, it features a high-grip compound and optimized tread for superior handling on both wet and dry roads. A reinforced casing ensures stability and durability, making it the perfect choice for a smooth, confident, and long-lasting commute.
Both the CST Ride Scoop and Maxxis Victra S98 CT are now available at official CST and Maxxis tire dealers nationwide.
When asked about the pricing, AP Blue Whale Corporation said that the CST Ride Scoop is in a more accessible price point, ranging from PHP 1,200 to PHP 2,800. Meanwhile, the Maxxis Victra S98 CT is a more premium offering, priced between PHP 2,500 and PHP 3,000.
