Nationwide motorcycle safety campaign kicks off with DOTr-MDPPA MOA
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association (MDPPA) have teamed up, signing a Memorandum of Agreement to launch a nationwide campaign promoting rider education and road safety.
The MDPPA are motorcycle manufacturers Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda and TVS.
The DOTr announced it is ready to roll out a nationwide campaign to enhance rider education and road safety.
“Nakahanda na ang DOTr na ilunsad 'yung mga aktibidad sa ilalim ng MOA na ito. Nagpapasalamat kami sa MDPPA at iba pa nating partners na kaisa natin sa pagtitiyak na ligtas ang ating mga kalsada para sa mga motorista at komyuter,” said Transportation Secretary, Giovanni “Banoy” Lopez.

DOTr Undersecretary for Road Transportation and Non-Infrastructure and Road Safety Task Force Chair Ramon Reyes led the signing of the agreement, which also marked the induction of the new MDPPA officers, including their newly appointed president, Erwin Estrada of Honda Philippines.
The other officers inducted include Romeo Tan of Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. as VP; Norminio Mojica of Suzuki Philippines, Inc. as Treasurer; and Alexander Cumpas of Kawasaki Motor Philippines Corporation as Auditor.
